Regarding “West’s Literary Agents Won’t Be Written Off” and “Eager to Read Your Pride and Joy--For a Fee,” (Oct. 30): There is an arts recognition renaissance brewing at the L.A. Times, and articles like Mike Wyma’s testify that there are a million attorneys, cashiers, plumbers and garbage collectors in Southern California who really want to be writers.
