‘Case for Glee at Reagan’s Comeuppance’
No one on earth should be laughing at President Reagan’s self-induced predicament. This in spite of Michael Kinsley’s article.
There are at least 50,000 reasons for no laughter--namely the 50,000 nuclear bombs ready to end all life, if triggered by an accident, or by the inept or irrational handling of foreign policy by world leaders.
President Reagan will hold the highest office in the United States for two years. This is a long time to be exposed to Russian Roulette.
We should be hoping that he stabilizes the White House situation, gains some insight into non-violent solutions to war, moves toward operating within the law, and achieves some stature as a world statesman.LARRY KELBLEY
