Ex-D’Amato Aide Named GOP Convention Manager

WASHINGTON — John Zagame, 35, former administrative assistant to Sen. Alfonse M. D’Amato (R-N.Y.), was named Saturday as manager of the Republican Party’s 1988 national convention in New Orleans, National Committee Chairman Frank J. Fahrenkopf Jr. said.
