College Roundup : Titan Women Fall to Fresno State

Cal State Fullerton ended a four-game winning streak Monday night, losing to Fresno State, 80-58, in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. women’s basketball game at Fresno.
Trailing at halftime, 38-28, the Titans could get no closer than six points in the second half. Fullerton (4-5, 7-11), which shot 40% from the field, was led by Felicia Benson and Stacy Hunt with 10 points each.
Yvette Roberts scored 25 points to lead the No. 24-ranked Bulldogs, (8-3, 16-4), who are second behind Cal State Long Beach. Teammate Wendy Martell had 20 points, 7 assists and 4 steals.
Fullerton plays host to Nevada Las Vegas Thursday.
In tennis:
Chapman College 8, Rollins College 1--Miles Walker upset Pat Emmet in No. 1 singles to lead third-ranked Panthers over the No. 4 Tars.
Walker, a transfer from College of Marin and last season’s California state community college champion, defeated Emmet, the No. 2-ranked player in Division II, 6-1 and 7-6 (9-7). The Panthers (1-1) swept all six singles matches and won two of the three doubles matches.
