In late fights Thursday night, Marcos Villasana of Mexico knocked out Ramon Rico of Mexico in the fourth round of a scheduled 10-round featherweight bout at the Olympic Auditorium, and Russ Mitchell of San Luis Obispo won the California State welterweight title by knocking out defending champion Felipe Canela of Colton in the seventh round of a 12-round bout at Riverside.
