Carter, Mendez Lead USIU Women to Win

SAN DIEGO — Point guard Sonya Carter scored 31 points and forward Daisy Mendez added 26 as United States International University routed Loyola Marymount 91-52 in West Coast Athletic Conference women’s basketball game Friday night.
USIU (4-2, 11-8) had a 43-25 lead at the half. Sylvia Baur led Loyola Marymount (0-5, 4-17) with 14 points.
