Mohney May Rejoin Canyons Team Today

College of the Canyons baseball Coach Len Mohney, hospitalized for four days with diverticulosis, might be able to rejoin his team today when the Cougars play in the first round of the Stengel tournament at Rancho Santiago College in Santa Ana.
Mohney said he still is waiting for approval from his doctor but added: “If I were a betting man, I’d bet on me being there.”
Mohney was diagnosed Wednesday as having the intestinal inflammation.
Mohney was admitted Saturday to Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills after suffering abdominal pains. He said he is hopeful he will be able to accompany his defending state champion team to Rancho Santiago for its 2:30 p.m. game against Southwestern of San Diego.
