Suspected Terrorist Bomb Plot Foiled

LONDON — Scotland Yard said a suspected Irish terrorist bomb blitz in mainland Britain was foiled with the arrest of two Belfast men who were charged Friday with plotting bomb attacks and possession of explosives.
Police would not comment on an Independent Televison News report that the wedding last Saturday of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s son, Mark, to Diane Bergdorf, a Texas auto dealer’s daughter, may have been a target.
