Xerox agreed to sell its South African holdings.

Allied Technologies Corp., a Johannesburg electronics group, will buy the assets for the equivalent of $19.2 million, a merchant bank acting for both companies announced. The selling price disclosed by Hill Samuel Merchant Bank Ltd. is less than half the $41 million at which industry sources had earlier valued Xerox assets in South Africa.
