Carlene Pearson, the former fiancee of New York Mets pitcher Dwight Gooden, was sentenced to five years’ probation on a weapons charge stemming from her arrest Jan. 30 at LaGuardia Airport after walking through a metal detector with a loaded handgun in her purse.
