. . . Calendar gets some odd publicity pitches, but we didn’t quite know what to do with a recent two-page letter from Zarem Inc. in NYC. Addressed to some of our film writers, it suggested there’s a “great story” in Gulf & Western’s “unique and successful launch of Primo, a premium brand of milk powder . . . an especially interesting and colorful product development.” We’ll wait for the movie.
. . . Perhaps Ch. 2 News should I.D. its “essayist” Peter Kastner as “essayist/performer”--since he once made a living in things like “Love American Style” and “You’re a Big Boy Now”? And who could forget “The Ugliest Girl in Town” (ABC, 1968-69), in which he played the title role--in drag?
