Marking the first solo instructional visit by a Soviet dancer officially allowed by the Soviet government, Soviet ballet star Maya Plisetskaya will give a series of master classes at the David Howard Dance Center in New York. Plisetskaya’s visit has been officially sanctioned by Yuri Grigorovich, artistic director of the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow, where Plisetskaya has danced since 1943.
