Northridge Softball Team Sweeps Pair From Dominguez

The Cal State Northridge softball team stretched its winning streak to 25 straight games Tuesday, sweeping a doubleheader from fourth-place Cal State Dominguez Hills, 3-2, 5-0, in the California Collegiate Athletic Assn.
Northridge (38-5, 13-1) defeated Dominguez Hills (20-23, 6-8) on two strong pitching performances. Debbie Dickman (13-3) tossed a three-hitter in the first game and Delanne Anderson (11-2) had a five-hitter in the second game.
In the first game, Regina Lyons drove in the winning run in the fourth inning when she singled to score Priscilla Rouse, who had reached base with her second triple. CSUN took a 2-0 lead in the third inning when Rouse tripled to score Barbara Jordan and Beth Onestinghel followed with a single to drive in Rouse.
Jordan’s hitting led CSUN in the second game, going 3 for 4 with a run batted in.
