Boston hermit Bill Britt said Thursday that Mickey Rooney--who plans to do a TV movie on Britt’s life--is not paying him enough money. Britt said he was counting on much more than the $2,500 he claims he was offered to survive his eviction from a ramshackle wigwam in the ritzy Chestnut Hill section of neighboring Newton. Government officials have ordered him to leave by July 1 or face trespassing charges. At one time, Britt said he wanted “$29 a week for life” to allow Rooney to portray him in a TV movie. Rooney’s attorney and business agent, Harold Levy, disputed Britt’s version of the story.
