Holdridge Signs Letter to Attend USC

David Holdridge, the Ocean View High School designated hitter who leads Orange County in home runs (8) and RBIs (32), has signed a national letter of intent to attend USC on a full baseball scholarship.
Holdridge, a senior, was recruited as a pitcher/outfielder. He has been limited to a designated hitter role this season after he dislocated his collarbone last winter. He started this week batting .423 (22 for 52) and has hit seven homers in Sunset League games to lead the first-place Seahawks to a 9-1 record (15-4 overall).
Ocean View Coach Bill Gibbons said there’s a chance Holdridge may be able to pitch again this season.
