Benefit Raises Funds for Two Organizations

A black-tie tribute honoring Anthony A. Allen of Citation Builders, Tustin, raised $310,000 for the City of Hope National Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute.
The program at the Irvine Hilton was sponsored by the Orange County Construction Industries Alliance. Allen was presented the “Spirit of Life” award by William Lyon, president of the William Lyon Co., Newport Beach, a past recipient of the honor.
Proceeds from the dinner will establish the Anthony A. (Tony) Allen Research Fellowship at the City of Hope, which conducts programs of patient care, scientific research and medical education in diseases such as cancer and leukemia.
