L.B. Transit to Cut Student Bus Fares

LONG BEACH — Bus fare for full-time college students will be reduced July 1 from 60 cents to 40 cents, and the cost of a monthly pass will drop from $16 to $12, Long Beach Transit has announced.
The move, which will cost the company $100,000 a year according to transit President Larry Jackson, is designed to increase usage of the transit system by college students.
