Ahuman skeleton believed to be that of a woman between 30 and 50 years old was found in a remote area of Granada Hills, Los Angeles police said Tuesday.
The skeleton had been lying on a brush-covered hillside near the intersection of San Fernando Road and Sierra Highway about six months, Lt. Warren Knowles said.
Knowles said the skeleton was found by two teen-agers passing by.
The cause of death was undetermined pending an autopsy, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said.
