A girl who wanted to be on her high school wrestling team but did not want to cut her hair has lost a court battle to have the rules changed in Roseburg, Ore.
The American Civil Liberties Union filed suit on behalf of 16-year-old Asia DeWeese.
Douglas County Circuit Court Judge Joan Seitz ruled against the Sutherlin High School junior, saying the short-hair rule may stand.
