The Burbank Board of Education on Tuesday adopted a tentative budget for the upcoming school year, including an estimated $1.3 million in state lottery funds.
The total budget is projected at $42.6 million, about $50,000 higher than last year, said Sharon Hoaglund, the district’s fiscal services administrator. The budget calls for no major new programs.
The $1.3 million in lottery funds is a projection of what the district may receive from the state, Hoaglund said.
The board expects to adopt a final budget in September.
