Severe thunderstorms rumbled across the Midwest and brought heavy rain to already saturated western Indiana, flooding basements and some roads under three feet of water. An area around Brazil, Ind., has been drenched with nine inches of rain since last Wednesday. City officials reported 100 homes flooded by the deluge. Minor flooding was also reported in lower Michigan in Oakland County, the weather service said.
