Chrysler and American Motors reported that they have received requests from the Federal Trade Commission for additional information in connection with Chrysler’s proposed acquisition of AMC . . . The Limited said it has consolidated two divisions selling large-size women’s apparel--Lerner Woman, a unit of Lane Bryant, and Sizes Unlimited--and is changing the new unit’s name to Lerner Woman . . . Wickes Cos., as expected, applied to have its securities listed on the New York Stock Exchange and said it expects the listing--as well as a 1-for-5 “reverse” stock split--to be effective Aug. 12 . . . Kraft Inc. said it planned to buy for an undisclosed price G&G; Produce Co., a City of Commerce-based distributor of hotel and restaurant food with annual revenue of $60 million . . . May Department Stores said it has agreed to sell its 10 Robinson’s of Florida department stores to Maison BlancheGoudchaux, a Louisiana retailer, for an undisclosed price; the Florida stores are not related to the J. W. Robinson stores in Southern California . . . Fujitsu Systems of America signed a contract worth more than $6 million to equip all 29 Bullock’s locations with “point-of-sale” systems capable of reading bar-code price tags; the conversion would make Bullock’s the first U.S. department store chain to use bar-code technology.
