A gunman wearing a ski mask, goggles and a fatigue jacket was shot by a police officer investigating a break-in at a Taco Bell restaurant in Cypress, authorities said. Scott Allen, 24, of Huntington Beach was in stable condition at Memorial Hospital of Long Beach with a gunshot wound to the right shoulder, police said. The suspect was shot when he allegedly turned and pointed a handgun at two officers who saw him trying to escape through the restaurant’s back door.
