Galanter Can’t Identify Attacker

Newly elected City Councilwoman Ruth Galanter today said that she can not identify the man accused of stabbing her repeatedly in the neck during a May 6 attack at her Venice home.
Galanter looked closely at her alleged attacker, Mark Allen Olds, 27, during a preliminary hearing in Los Angeles Municipal Court but said in a gravelly voice that she had been unable to make out her assailant’s features in the dark. Galanter, 46, was hospitalized for weeks and unable to campaign actively as a result of the attack.
