PARKING CONGESTION FORECAST AT AIRPORT

Parking will be more congested than usual this weekend at John Wayne Airport due to restriping to add 65 more spaces to the north end of the short-term parking lot near the terminal building. The lot will be closed from 6 a.m. today until 6 a.m. Monday. Airport officials urge travelers to arrive earlier than usual in case they have to use the airport’s alternate parking lots--the $8-per-day long-term lot near the airport freight terminals and the $5-per-day North Parking Facility on Main Street, north of the San Diego Freeway.
