Police have identified a woman whose body was found in a field as Mary Helen Moya, 40, of San Diego.
Border Patrol officers patrolling in a helicopter spotted Moya’s body Monday evening half a mile north of California 117 and half a mile west of Heritage Road. She had been shot in the head, and police are investigating the shooting as a homicide.
