DEF BUT NOT DUMB

Did Terry Atkinson see the same Def Leppard video I saw (Sound and Vision, Aug. 16)? In the version I saw, the robots only became real women when they ceased to be subservient--hardly a “dumb, sexist” notion. But then, I’m Atkinson’s typical “teen-age/20s male” masquerading as a 38-year-old married woman (this will come as news to my husband). As for Def Leppard being “tasteless and boring”--oh, please, tell me when I can stop laughing!
