Woman Dies of Motorcycle Accident Injuries

A 32-year-old San Diego woman died Saturday of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident, authorities said.
Donna Lore Rivera was declared dead at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla at 8:20 a.m., according to the San Diego County coroner’s office.
Rivera was a passenger on a motorcycle that crashed at 5:50 p.m. Friday on southbound Interstate 5 just north of the Balboa Avenue exit, authorities said. Rivera, who suffered head injuries, was not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the motorcycle, Gary Hylton, suffered minor injuries. It was unclear whether he was wearing a helmet. The motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed, according to the California Highway Patrol.
