Redondo Beach : Noise Laws to Be Reviewed
- Share via
The City Council has approved revisions to the noise ordinance.
The changes, which take effect in 30 days, alter the standard for disturbances such as barking dogs to make enforcement more “efficient and effective,” according to a report by City Atty. Gordon Phillips. The revised ordinance will allow noise control officers to declare a disturbance if animal sounds are audible from the complainant’s property line for more than five minutes during any hour from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.
The ordinance has been amended to include pneumatic tools and radios transmitted loudly from cars and in public places.
