David Corvo, executive producer of the “CBS Morning News,” has been named executive producer of the new two-hour CBS News program that will succeed CBS’ ill-fated “The Morning Program” on Nov. 30. Corvo also will continue as chief producer of the “CBS Morning News,” which now airs from 6 to 7:30 a.m. weekdays, but will shift to an hour next month, followed by CBS News’ new, as-yet untitled morning program. The defunct “Morning Program” received about 300 letters from viewers complaining about the show’s demise, according to a CBS spokeswoman, most of which were sent to former host Mariette Hartley.
