Golden West Women Reach Volleyball Final

The Golden West College women’s volleyball team advanced to the championship round of the Santa Barbara tournament of champions Saturday, defeating Santa Barbara City College, 15-11, 15-8, 15-9, in the first round, and College of the Sequoias, 10-15, 15-12, 15-3, 13-15, 15-4, in the second round.

The Rustlers (10-0) will meet Grossmont at 10:30 a.m. today in the tournament final.

Orange Coast College lost two of three tournament matches, defeating Santa Barbara City College, 12-15, 15-12, 15-7, 8-15, 15-12, but losing to College of the Sequoias, 15-8, 15-6, 15-13, and Cuesta College, 15-8, 8-15, 15-13, 15-11.
