Turn Back Oxford Appeal

It’s not only rich , it’s mighty sad when the English see fit to target the United States in a campaign to raise funds for the survival of Oxford University (“Isn’t It Rich? Oxford Appeals for Funds” by Bevis Hillier, Oct. 11).
Isn’t it enough that we financed European wars with money and soldiers without paying for their educational systems too? I suggest that Henry Drecker, the American appointed as Oxford’s chief fund-raiser, appeal to the British government and its people to support the much-respected Oxford.
