NEW YORK — A 15-year-old girl was pushed in front of a moving subway train Thursday, but she was rescued by a bystander while two others captured a suspect, authorities said.
Georgia Winston suffered only a twisted ankle. She was standing on a subway platform in Manhattan when she was shoved from behind onto the tracks, a Transit Authority spokesman said.
Ronald Christopher, 21, of the Bronx, was charged with attempted murder and second-degree assault. Police said there was no known motive.
