A junkyard worker who suffered radiation poisoning in Brazil after his boss opened a capsule of cesium 137 has died, becoming the fourth fatality from the incident. Admilson Alves de Sousa, 18, died after 25 days in a naval hospital, the naval press office said. Sousa worked at a junkyard in the central city of Goiania that acquired a lead capsule of cesium 137 from an abandoned cancer treatment center. The junkyard owner broke open the lead capsule with a sledgehammer and handed around the glowing cesium powder, unaware of its deadliness.
