Arden Group’s income rose 18% to $1.9 million in the third quarter. Revenue for the Los Angeles-based owner of Mayfair and Gelson’s markets fell 8% to $90 million. The company said administrative costs were reduced when it closed most of its Mayfair stores in Arizona, which also accounts, in part, for the reduction in revenue.
