Steve Huntington has been named music director at local jazz radio station KIFM-FM (98.1). An 18-year broadcast veteran, Huntington comes to San Diego from Florida, where he was program manager with two Tampa radio stations.
- No, it’s not the husband-and-wife singing duo. “Steve and Eydie,” the new morning team on KIFM, stars Steve Tom and veteran deejay Eydie Bowen. Not only aren’t they married, but they don’t sing: Tom spins discs and Bowen delivers the news, each weekday from 6 to 10 a.m.
