Roy Reid, Film Producer
Roy Reid, 95, a longtime independent producer of low-budget films who bragged that his films “Damaged Goods,” “High School Girl” and “Narcotic” among many others “were made for one purpose, to sell tickets.” He began his entertainment career booking vaudeville acts in Long Beach and continued to produce films until his death Nov. 19 in El Monte.
