Dons, Rustlers Qualify Wrestlers

Rancho Santiago College qualified six wrestlers and Golden West five for the state tournament at the Southern California Regional held at Rancho Santiago Friday.
BoBo Leyva (126 pounds), Denny Furnish (158) and Matt Fletcher (167) all won their division for Rancho Santiago. Dave Grisafe (190), Joey Delavega (118) and Mike Gayer (150) all finished third and also qualify for the state tournament next Friday and Saturday at Santa Rose College. The top three in each weight division qualify for the state tournament.
Golden West’s Ed Ruiz (134), Scott Brenton (190) and defending state champion Paul Herrera (150) also won their divisions. Tosh Yukawa (126) and Jason Dallas (142) finished third to also qualify for Golden West.
