Bill France Jr., president of NASCAR, said that a drug-testing program for drivers in the Winston Cup stock car series will be done this season. Testing will be done, he said, where there is “reasonable suspicion.”
“I don’t think we have a problem at this time, but I can’t see any reason why we would be immune,” he said. “Drugs are becoming more prevalent in this society.”
