Bethlehem Steel Corp. reported an annual profit of $174 million, a turnaround from the $153-million loss it reported for all of 1986. Revenue for the 12 months totaled $4.6 billion, up about $300 million from last year. Bethlehem, the nation’s third-largest steelmaker, said improved operating performances at steel plants at Burns Harbor, Ind., and Sparrows Point, Md., accounted for the higher profit. Steel shipments rose to 9.4 million tons from 8.5 million tons in 1986.
