Mateja Svet of Yugoslavia won her second World Cup ski race in two days, capturing a women’s slalom at Kranjska Gora, Yugoslavia, and establishing herself as a strong medal contender for the Winter Olympics at Calgary.
Svet, who won Saturday’s giant slalom, was timed in 1 minute 25.45 seconds for two runs on the Pokkoren track, flagged with 48 gates.
Roswitha Steiner of Austria and Vreni Schneider of Switzerland tied for second at 1:26.05.
Schneider’s showing gave her 185 World Cup points and a first-place tie with compatriot Michela Figini, who did not compete Sunday.
