A memorial service is scheduled Tuesday for the wife of former Miami Dolphins’ quarterback Bob Griese, Judith Ann Griese, who died Saturday after a long battle against cancer. She was 44.
Griese was a native of Fort Wayne, Ind., and a graduate of Purdue University, where she received a degree in nursing and met her husband. She worked as an orthopedic nurse before their marriage.
In addition to her husband of 20 years, a sports analyst for ABC, and sons Scott, Jeff and Brian, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lassus of Fort Wayne, and two brothers.
