U.S. Policy in Central America

What a fascinating, clever solution to a knotty problem! My immediate reaction was threefold: Why not? Why didn’t I think of that? It’s so logical, it will probably fail on that premise.
However, if it should fly against high odds and be successful, perhaps we could do likewise for Israel and the Philippines, and who knows, someday even the bastion of Semper Fidel, Cuba? P.S. Could we buy back the Panama Canal?
