First Lady Cancels Anti-Drug Trip

WASHINGTON — Nancy Reagan was forced to cancel an appearance in Nashville to continue her anti-drug abuse crusade because of a case of laryngitis, aides said today.
The First Lady was advised by Dr. John Hutton, the White House physician, not to make the trip. Wendy Toler, a press assistant to Mrs. Reagan, said the laryngitis “started bothering her Monday night when she began to lose her voice.”
