Dataproducts will move a computer printer plant from Milford, N.H., to the San Fernando Valley, where the operation will employ about 300 people. The Woodland Hills company said the move and a change in policy on investing foreign earnings will result in a one-time, $16-million charge to earnings for the year ended March 26. Separately, Dataproducts’ directors passed an anti-takeover plan giving stockholders the right buy 1/100th of a special preferred share if an investment group buys 20% of its stock or launches an offer that would give it at least 30% of the firm.
