This Abandoned House Cat Joins Tigers at Zoo

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Neighbors noticed something unusual about a feline peeking from a suburban house’s window. Its size.
The animal was a young tiger, left behind when its owner moved to California about two weeks ago, police said. Zoo crews were called to the house Saturday to remove the animal, which “is apparently very accustomed to being around people,” said David Westbrook, director of the Little Rock Zoo.
The tiger is about 5 months old, weighs about 70 pounds and is in good health, Westbrook said. Apparently someone had been feeding it after the owner left, police said.
