Local News in Brief : South County : Candidates Forum Tonight at Center

The Capistrano Beach Community Assn. and the League of Women Voters are sponsoring a Dana Point City Council candidates forum at 7 tonight at the Capistrano Bay Park and Recreation Center, 34502 del Obispo in Dana Point.
Twenty-three candidates from Dana Point, Capistrano Beach and coastal Laguna Niguel are running for five seats on the council.
The top five vote-getters will take office next Jan. 1 if residents approve a cityhood measure on June 7. The measure would join the three unincorporated communities into one city.
