A 19-year-old woman has been ordered in Seattle to wear a sign reading “I am a convicted child molester.” King County Superior Court Judge Warren Chan ordered Julia Lynn Guptill-Gilbert, formerly a teacher in a Seattle-area preschool, to wear the sign for a 60-day period whenever she leaves home. The woman, found guilty of misdemeanor counts of “communicating with a minor for immoral purposes,” involving two girls, aged 4 and 5, was ordered to return to Washington from a new home in an undisclosed California town to serve the sentence.
