Stouffer’s has gone fishing for Orange County diners.

The Cleveland-based company recently opened Parker’s Seafood Grill on the Balboa Peninsula, the first of the Parker’s dinner-house chain in Orange County.

Four other cities, including Long Beach--have Parker’s Lighthouse restaurants. But contracts restrict using that name within a three-county radius. So Parker’s Seafood Grill here serves from a slightly different menu that still focuses on mesquite-grilled seafood, said Tom Tronzo, regional manager.

Since the restaurant’s official opening two weeks ago, business has been good, said Steve Wallace, general manager. “We’re quiet at lunch, but dinner is strong. And we expect to build over time.”
