Proposition 68: Limit on Funds

The Times couldn’t be more right about supporting Proposition 68 (“The Money Grubbers,” editorial, May 15). Spending has gone out of sight, leaving our representatives much too dependent on contributions from lobbyists and special interests. When the governor and the leaders of both parties in the Legislature all came out against the Proposition 68, I knew then that I had to vote for it.
Incumbents, it seems, almost never lose. It doesn’t surprise me that they would ban together to defend a system that works so well for them.
I am convinced that the more people know about Proposition 68, the more likely it is that they will vote for it.
